if you need further clarification of specific payments processed through roster, you can log into the paypal developer portal and find the exact payment batches that roster submits through the paypal api here is a quick video overview of how to access your payment transactions directly in paypal video transcript 0 00 hey, this is jeff at roster in this video, let's take a look at how you can log into your paypal account and see the payments directly in your account that you have created through roster 0 14 so in this case, you can see that i have a couple transactions that didn't go through, one was failed, one was returned, one is marked as unclaimed, some that did go through, and let's just say i want to get some specific information or more detailed information on this, it's entirely possible to log 0 30 into your paypal account and see these exact same transactions so let's walk through what that looks like first, you're going to want to log into your paypal account, and once there, you'll click into the developer portal, and then once that developer portal loads up, you'll see in this top navigators 0 48 navigation, there's an option for event logs, and if you hover over it, you'll get a drop down, and at the bottom here, there's a menu item called transactions, and we want to click on that 1 02 that's going to bring up all of the transactions that have gone through my account there's a few things that are helpful here to understand first and foremost 1 12 any of these payment 2s, these may have been payments that went out through your integration with roster, might have been something else that sent it out, but, uhm, you can, anytime there's this little arrow, you can expand it and get some additional information 1 28 this is actually kind of funny, i sent a $1 venmo payment to a fake 555 555 122, uhm, 234 phone number, and apparently that's connected to a paypal account called youlovemuffin, so i think that's kind of funny and you can actually come to this filters right here, and under transaction type, scroll down 2 06 , you would think it would say masspay, but it doesn't, it says payouts, it's a classic paypal for you, you'll click apply filter, and then it will just show all of the masspayouts that you initiated, and it's actually nice because then i can just simply click on one of these, and i can get an overall 2 24 status right here, of the transaction itself, how many payments were inside of it, and then a breakdown of the statuses within each, so there was a denied and a returned, and that would correspond to the information that i had here, which you can see these two transactions were part of the same payment 2 47 batch, so, five if i was to come into here, maybe there was like, you know, hundreds of transactions, uhm, in a batch, it's always nice to be able to filter by a batch, and i can see that those two transactions, uhm, one says failed and one says returned, that more or less correlates to here, so this 3 06 , in this case, the failed, uh, is because it was denied so, that's how you can get some, uh, more detailed information you can download a csv file or text file of all the individual payments that might help you or your team to, uhm, cross check the information that's going through your paypal account 3 24 and the statuses therein with what is showing up inside of your roster account we have a page where we go through a quick description of each of these payment statuses that can come from paypal such as the on hold, refunded, returned, unclaimed so, uhm, if you're watching this video, it's most likely 3 45 that you are on the support article where we have those statuses defined if not, just go to our help document, our help site and search for, uhm, paypal payment statuses and you should get a description of what each of these different paypal, uh, paypal statuses are referred to 4 03 hopefully this helps if you have any additional questions on paypal or venmo integration or whatsoever, just reach out to us, support at getroster com and we'll see what we can do to help 4 13 thank you need help? for troubleshooting paypal or venmo payment issues, refer to our paypal troubleshooting guide contact our support team at support\@getroster com mailto\ support\@getroster com for further assistance
