public hashtag campaigns help you track @mentions and hashtags from public accounts, even if they’re not part of your ambassador program this is a great way to expand your reach and see how people are engaging with your brand on twitter, facebook, and instagram to use this feature, you'll need the social listening add on if you're interested, reach out to support or your customer success manager (csm) for help follow the guide below to set up a public hashtag campaign in roster video walkthrough video transcript this is a transcript from the loom video walkthrough \[00 00] hello, in this video we are going to be reviewing public hashtag campaigns publish ha public hashtag campaigns are an option for brands that have full social listening enabled, so that means that you are pulling in at mentions of your brand from outside, um, individuals, so people that are not associated \[00 16] with the program if you are interested in getting that add on added to your subscription, feel free to reach out to support or your csm and we can give you some guidance there \[00 25] getting started, the first thing you're going to do is visit your campaigns tab, go into new campaign here, and then you're going to create from scratch \[00 32] then you're going to select the public hashtag campaign here you can do public hashtag campaigns on twitter, facebook, or instagram \[00 40] so, for example, maybe i wanted to do an ex recruitment campaign and then, once i hit create, it'll look very similar to our standard campaigns, where i can add some internal notes for myself or my team members, and i can start a, uh, or i can pick a start date and an end date here as well \[01 02] then, when we click next, you're going to see this area here so, this is when we are, we are selecting what platform, the handle that we want listened to, and the hashtag that we also want included \[01 13] um, so, let's say that i wanted to get an x post any time this at mention is used, and any time this hashtag is used, i want it to get pulled into this campaign \[01 25] um, then i can choose to add other ones, so if i also wanted to do this on instagram, um, i could pull in my instagram handle and use the same campaign hashtag as well \[01 36] thank you so you can set up different activities there and mark them as required so that you can keep track of things \[01 43] then in the next step, you're going to review this here, again, with a public hashtag campaign, you are not necessarily sending out any invites, you are not inviting individuals, you're essentially setting up something for our system to listen to \[01 56] so anytime that combination of the at mention and hashtag you've included is used, we will include it in this campaign \[02 02] that does get restricted to anyone with a public account, so they do need to have a public account in order for us to pull that in \[02 10] for any additional questions, feel free to reach out to support or your csm thank you step by step instructions create a new campaign navigate to the campaigns tab in the left hand navigation menu click on new campaign select create from scratch select the campaign type choose public hashtag campaign from the campaign options select the platforms for your campaign twitter, facebook, or instagram click create to start setting up the campaign configure campaign details enter a name for your campaign, such as an ex recruitment campaign add internal notes for your reference or for team members choose a start date and an end date for the campaign click next to proceed set up social listening parameters select the platform and specify the handle you want to listen to enter the hashtag to be included in the campaign optionally, add other platforms and use the same hashtag for consistency mark any specific activities as required to track them closely review and enable the campaign review the campaign setup, especially the combination of at mentions and hashtags for listening remember, the system will automatically pull content based on your specified parameters from public accounts only click finish to activate the public hashtag campaign need help? if you need any additional assistance with with your roster account, feel free to contact our support team at support\@getroster com mailto\ support\@getroster com we're here to help!
