configuring default email template settings in roster ensures consistent branding and appearance across all your emails by setting a default email sender, header colors, button colors, fonts, and logo, you ensure uniformity and professionalism in communication these settings can be customized for a branded look for your organization, and you can even test the email design to see how recipients will view it it's also possible to apply these brand level settings to existing templates retroactively, allowing for seamless updates in active campaigns video walkthrough video transcript this is a transcript from the loom video walkthrough \[00 00] hey, this is jeff at roster in this video, i'm going to show you how you can set some default settings for your email templates \[00 08] this is helpful to ensure that you have consistent header and colors and logo across all the emails that are being used within your account \[00 15] so to set the default email settings for your brand, click on the brand icon or logo in the bottom left navigation, and then click on brand settings from the flyout menu \[00 24] and from here, click on the email settings tab in the left navigation there's a couple of things you can do here \[00 30] first of all, you can set the default email sender, and this will be the person whose name appears as the email sender whenever you're sending out an email from within roster \[00 39] you can select any of the team members in your account, or you can select custom and put in a custom sender name and email address \[00 47] this has the advantage of not requiring a team member seat in order to send an email from a specific address \[00 54] so it's not uncommon to, for brands to do like ambassadors at your brand like that, and then just put like, um, roster ambassadors is the sender name \[01 09] so that's a very common thing that we see and, and being able to do this as a custom sender would then eliminate the need to add them as a team member \[01 17] so i'm going to come back to team member settings so that's the one setting then the other setting you can do here is the default email branding \[01 23] so let's click the edit and preview button and that will open up the email editor and from here you can see that you can set a default header color, the default button color \[01 36] the default button font color and then over on the right you can see how those appear and then you can also set a brand logo, which will appear up at the top \[01 45] and you can set the header image, which will appear right there and if you want to change, if you have an image up top here and you wanted to change it to like say something black and you can do that \[01 56] and then the header would appear black with your image on it or you can select any other color for that matter \[02 02] uhm, once you have that in place, you can use this send test email option down at the bottom to send a test email to your inbox and it will send whatever you see over here in the preview \[02 14] and then when you've made the changes that you want and you're satisfied, you can just click save and that will save those settings and then click save one more time if you made any changes to the default email sender \[02 26] okay, so let me show you one other thing if you now have changed your email settings at the brand level, but you already have email templates that have been generated, those email templates won't be modified to inherit the new settings just because we're never quite sure if you want those to apply retroactively \[02 44] or not, but you do have the option to come into any of the, your campaigns maybe they're still active or actions if you're, if you're wanting to change that and you can go into the email settings, for example, of this campaign and we could open up the preview email for the, um, well campaign invite \[03 04] email and then i can come into brand settings and and i can click restore default branding and i get a little prompt here that asks us if i'm sure that i want to apply the default branding and i'll hit ok and then it will bring in those, those settings and then, and campaign since there's a handful \[03 24] of different campaign email templates, the campaign emails also have this checkbox right here, apply branding to all emails in this campaign \[03 32] so, if i check that box and click save and apply to all, then it will apply all of those, uhm, template settings to all of the other email templates \[03 41] so now if i click open the signup confirmation email template for this campaign, i can see that those settings at any time to any of the email templates and roster and it makes it really easy to stay consistent across your brand \[03 58] if you have any questions about email templates, i think that's the campaign level, the brand level, the program level, shoot us an email, support at getroster com and in the meantime, have a great day \[04 07] thanks step by step
