creating posts in a community channel in roster allows you to engage directly with your ambassadors by sharing updates, announcements, and more in a social media style feed you can add text, images, and formatting to make your posts stand out, then choose to publish them immediately or save them as drafts want to make sure ambassadors see it? send a notification to boost engagement plus, you can easily sort and manage posts to keep everything organized and accessible! video walkthrough video transcript this is a transcript from the loom video walkthrough \[00 00] hello! in this video, we are going to be diving into posts within communities and how to create them community posts is your way to share updates, announcements, and engage with your ambassadors directly \[00 13] think of posts as like a social media style feed where you can post texts, images, or updates that ambassadors can interact with \[00 20] to create a post, you're going to go into your post channel here, and select new post here, a little sidebar is going to pop open where you can select the channels or the channels you're going to be posting in \[00 33] you can write your post here, so, hey, hello, whatever your post might entail and then also choose to add an image to go along with your post if you would like \[00 45] maybe you're sharing some kind of content with them maybe you're just using a cute graphic, whatever it might be you got it \[00 48] you can also choose to save, uh, or include an image there if you highlight your text here, you're going to see some of your options where you can choose to bold, italicize, underline, or create, um, a hyperlink or bullet points or numbers here \[01 02] then, you're also going to be able to choose whether or not you want to notify ambassadors this would essentially send them an email saying, hey, there's a new post in community \[01 10] let's go check it out if do not want to notify them, you can go ahead and unselect that here then down here, you can either choose to save as a draft if this is something you want to post later, or go ahead and choose publish \[01 23] once you hit publish, it will show at the top of the post tab here within your post, you can sort by different statuses, different authors, so if your team members or your ambassadors did \[01 35] you can still sort by specific channels or see any of your pin posts here then down here, you're going to see both the post, so a preview of what that post looks like, the status of it, who's created it, the channel it was created in, any unique views it has, the likes, the comments, and the last time \[01 53] it was updated as well you can also choose to sort, so if you want to see this in a different view, you can over here \[02 00] that's a little bit about how to create specific posts within roster, and be sure to check out the next article to see how you can create a pinned post \[02 09] thank you step by step instructions access the post creation area navigate to the post channel click new post to open the sidebar for post creation create and format your post enter your text content in the designated area optionally, click to add an image to your post highlight your text to access formatting options bold, italicize, underline text create hyperlinks, bullet points, or numbered lists decide on ambassador notifications choose whether to notify ambassadors of the new post via email select or unselect the notification option as desired save and publish your post select save as draft if you want to post at a later time click publish to make your post live in the community manage and view posts after publishing, your post will appear at the top of the post tab use filters to sort posts by status, author, channel, or pin status review post details view a preview, status, author, channel, unique views, likes, comments, and last update time need help? if you need any additional assistance with with your roster account, feel free to contact our support team at support\@getroster com mailto\ support\@getroster com we're here to help!
