Adding or requesting payment info in Roster ensures that ambassadors are set up to receive payments for their referral commissions. This process allows you to collect PayPal or Venmo details directly from ambassadors or enter the information on their behalf. Below is a step-by-step guide to streamline this process.
Step-by-step instructions
Prerequisites: Enable PayPal Integration
- See Connect PayPal to Roster to enable the PayPal/Venmo integration.
- See Set up referral commissions to enable PayPal and/or Venmo as payment options at the program level.
Request payment info from ambassadors
- Go to the Payments page via the left navigation menu.
- Identify ambassadors without payment info.
- Click More Filters
- Select Unspecified from the Payment Method filter
- Select one or more ambassadors from the list.
- Click the Actions dropdown and choose Request Payment Info.
- An email template will appear. Review and send the email, which includes a link for ambassadors to provide their payment info.
Ambassadors add payment info in their portal
- Ambassadors are prompted to provide payment info in the following ways:
- Through their profile checklist if payments are enabled for their program.
- Via a persistent yellow banner on their Referrals page.
- They can:
- Add their PayPal email or phone number.
- Add their Venmo phone number (U.S. only).
- Mark one as their primary payment method.
Manually add or update payment info for ambassadors
- Navigate to the ambassador’s profile.
- Open the expanded view and scroll to the Referral Rewards card.
- Under the Payment Method section, click the edit icon:
- Enter the PayPal or Venmo details.
- Mark the primary payment method.
- Save the updates to ensure the information is reflected in the Unsent Payments tab.
Import payment info via CSV (optional)
- Prepare a CSV file with a Payment Method column containing PayPal or Venmo details.
- Navigate to the Import Ambassadors feature in Roster.
- Upload the updated CSV file.
- The system will match the payment info to existing ambassador profiles.
