what is a milestone series? a milestone series in roster is a structured tiered system designed to reward ambassadors when they reach specific goals ambassadors accrue points through activities such as engaging in campaigns, completing actions, or driving referrals as they gather more points, they unlock better rewards within the milestone series how are milestone series scoped to programs? milestone series can be associated with one or more programs a program, however, can be tied to only one active milestone series at any given time this ensures clarity and focus for ambassadors aiming to achieve rewards within a defined structure how many milestones can be in a series? a milestone series can contain any number of milestones each milestone acts as a tier with progressively higher points required to unlock ambassadors advance through these milestones as they accumulate points can there be more than one active milestone for a program at a time? milestone series can be associated with one or more programs a program, however, can be tied to only one active milestone series at any given time this ensures clarity and focus for ambassadors aiming to achieve rewards within a defined structure can i assign more than one reward to a milestone? at this time, only a single reward can be added to a milestone can ambassadors repeat a milestone series once they unlock all the milestones? yes, when setting up the milestone series, you can specify whether or not ambassadors can repeat the milestone series upon completing all the milestones, as well as how many times they can repeat it can i promote ambassadors to a different program upon unlocking all the milestones? yes! this is a great way to allow ambassadors to automatically progress from one program to another when setting up the milestone series, you can select to promote ambassadors from their current program into another program when they unlock all the milestones in the series if ambassadors completed actions before the milestone series was started, is there a way to retroactively add the points from the actions? unfortunately, there isn't a way to retroactively back date a milestone series, nor is there a way to retroactively apply points from something that occurred before the milestone series start date you can, however, create a manual point adjustment for each ambassador by going into their contact details page and clicking view more in the milestones card and adding a point adjustment if there are lots of ambassadors, you can also use roster's api to create manual referral rewards for points, which can be automated by a small code script does roster keep track of a contact's lifetime points and if so, is there a way to see a contact's lifetime points? yes! roster does keep track of a contact's lifetime points to see lifetime points, go to the contact search page, click columns to edit the columns, and add lifetime points as a column a column will now be added to the table, which you can then sort by ascending or descending can brands change a milestone tier reward even after some participants have unlocked the milestone? yes, brands can change a milestone tier rewards, even after participants have unlocked the reward to do this edit the milestone or campaign click "remove" to delete the existing custom reward add a new reward, such as an automated product reward (if using shopify) or a discount code reward save and publish the changes ambassadors who had previously unlocked the milestone will now see the updated reward and can redeem it based on the new setup what happens if an ambassador has already redeemed or received a previous reward before the milestone reward type was changed? if an ambassador already redeemed the previous automated product reward or received a discount code, they will not be eligible for the new reward after the change however, if an ambassador has unlocked the milestone but has not yet redeemed the previous reward, they can claim the new reward type instead how does the ambassador experience work with automated product rewards? assuming the milestone reward was switched to an automated product reward, ambassadors will see the new reward in their ambassador portal after the change they will be able to redeem the product reward by selecting eligible products and completing the checkout through the portal, triggering an order in shopify
