exporting discount codes from your roster account is a straightforward process that allows brands to back up codes, generate reports, or prepare data for re import into an external system this guide will walk you through the steps to export discount codes and explain how to make them compatible for re import if needed video walkthrough video transcript this is a transcript from the loom video walkthrough 0 00 hey there, this is jeff at roster this is going to be a quick one i just want to show you how to export discount codes from withinside your roster account 0 08 there might be a number of reasons why you want to do this let's say you want to re import codes into your external e commerce system 0 15 maybe you want to have a backup, you want to do some reporting on them, whatever it might be it's really straightforward 0 20 so let's go ahead and go to, click on the more menu in the left navigation, then click on discounts that will bring up our list of discount rules 0 28 and then i'm going to click on this discount rule right here it shows me that there are 12 assigned codes so i can see the list of them right here 0 36 and then what i'll do is click on the more actions button and then click export there's a number of options for exporting 0 44 i'm, i want export all of them so i'll select the i'll do discount codes radio button and then i'll click export 0 53 and that is going to send a file down to my local system roster, roster, discount codes, export csv and it's really that simple let me show you just kind of in a browser what those codes look like that get downloaded there will be a status column, um, the internal id that we use ourselves 1 09 roster, the name, first and last name of the ambassador, their email address, um, the discount rule that it's linked to, and then the codes themselves 1 22 so you can use this for, like i mentioned, any number of purposes one thing that might be come in handy, and there's a couple other videos on this is importing these back into roster, maybe to re sync it to your shopify 1 34 all that you would need to do if you're going to re import import these back into roster is, um, come to this email address column and delete the word ambassadors 1 43 so you just have an email column and that's it that's all you need to do so hopefully this was a pretty straightforward description on how to export discount codes from in your roster account 1 55 if you have any additional questions, be sure to let us know otherwise have a great day thank you step by step instructions access the discounts page navigate to more in the left hand navigation menu click on discounts to view your available discount rules select the discount rule containing the codes you want to export the number of assigned codes will be displayed alongside each rule export discount codes click on the more actions > export from the dropdown menu choose the discount codes radio button to export all assigned codes click export to download the file the file will be saved locally with a name such as roster discount codes export csv review the exported file open the csv file to view the exported data use this file for backup, reporting, or other purposes as needed need help? if you have any questions or need additional guidance, contact us at support\@getroster com mailto\ support\@getroster com
