5 min
creating a campaign in roster involves several internal steps to ensure that your brand's ambassador program runs smoothly step one focuses on defining the campaign details, which include everything that is internal to the brand such as the campaign name and description, as well as setting the campaign's duration, including the publish, start, and optional end dates these settings control how and when ambassadors can view and participate in the campaign below is a detailed guide on how to configure these settings effectively video walkthrough video transcript this is a transcript from the loom video walkthrough \[00 00] hi everyone, this is caroline and in this video, i'm going to walk you through step one or the campaign details so step one of the campaign is everything that's internal so the campaign name for example, this is what you and your team can call the campaign the ambassador will not see the name of it \[00 19] same with the campaign description so if you want to add some more details that are brand facing for your other team members who will be working on the campaign this is where we recommend adding those details underneath we have the campaign duration so this is the publish date, start date, and then if \[00 35] you want the campaign to end, picking an end date or keeping it ongoing for the publish date, this is basically when the campaign will be published and available to view by the, to be viewed by the ambassador \[00 49] for the start date, this is when the ambassador can actually get started on, uh, completing those challenges or those tasks for the campaign so, for example, if we make the publish date today, the 21st, uhm, and it usually defaults to 12, uh, then we can make the start date the 28th so what this means \[01 08] is the campaign will be published today, uhm, an email will be sent out letting ambassadors know we have an upcoming campaign, but they will not be able to join the campaign, nor will they be able to create any deliverables that will be pulled into the campaign once the 28th comes, that start date, then \[01 26] they will be able to join the campaign and they will be able to get started on completing those deliverables you can change the time for the publish date, uhm, but you can't change the time for the start date the end date, you can change this at a later time, but once the campaign is published, we cannot \[01 45] change, obviously, the publish date, uhm, but we can change the end date so if you want it to be ongoing at first, but then later give it an end date, you can absolutely do that uhm, for our purposes, we are going to give it an end date, just so we can kind of see what it looks like in the preview so \[01 58] we'll say, this campaign will end on march 31st, uhm, and it should show up in your time zone so i'm currently in mountain standard time, but if you're in eastern or pacific, it should say that for you uh, okay, hopefully this was helpful, again, if you ever need support, you can always reach out to \[02 14] support at getroster com, uhm, or you can contact your csm, uh, in the next video, i'll walk you through step 2, or the campaign brief step by step instructions define the campaign's internal details enter a campaign name which will be visible only to your team and not to the ambassadors provide a campaign description for internal use, adding any brand facing details that you want your team to know set the campaign duration determine the publish date this is when the campaign will be visible to ambassadors it defaults to 12 00 but can be adjusted to a different time choose the start date ambassadors can start completing tasks or challenges from this date onward note the time cannot be specified for the start date, only the date optional set an end date for the campaign the end date is flexible and can be changed later even if the campaign is ongoing setting an end date will allow viewing what the entire campaign timeline looks like in the preview finalize the campaign duration confirm the publish date , understanding that once the campaign is published, this date cannot be modified verify the end date , which can be added or adjusted later if the campaign initially does not have one review the time zone settings to ensure they match your local time zone need help? if you need any additional assistance with with your roster account, feel free to contact our support team at support\@getroster com mailto\ support\@getroster com we're here to help!
