Social posts comparison report

the social posts comparison report in roster allows brands to compare how different segments and/or dimensions perform in terms of social posts, stories, and reach this tool is particularly useful for analyzing the effectiveness of various ambassador programs and campaigns over specified time periods video walkthrough video transcript this is a transcript from the loom video walkthrough \[00 00] hey, this is jeff at roster in this video, we're going to take a look at the social posts comparison tool \[00 06] this is really helpful if you want to get a feel for how your different segments are performing in terms of social posts and stories and reach \[00 16] so to get here, we're going to click on reports in the left navigation and then select social posts and once the social posts report opens up, i'm going to come over here to the left side, and i have the option of viewing it as a list, which is the default view, and then viewing it as a comparison mode \[00 31] and when i click on compare, it brings me to a page where if i have previously been here, it will bring up any of the groups and filters that i've previously applied \[00 42] but, um, it's going to have the option to have at least one group, and you and you see here that this group is filtered by the, um, date range of this quarter, and then i've added a second group, which is filtered by, um, the quarter before that \[00 58] so if i open this up in the date range filter, you can see this quarter is the, the quarter that i'm currently in, and then last quarter would be the quarter previous to that \[01 08] um, when i'm viewing a, a group i can read the name a group, so if i want to call it like, um, q1, 25, and then i could rename this one to q4, 24 okay, and oops, let me open up the filters again \[01 32] and then once i have one or more groups here, i can add additional filters so let's say that in addition to filtering by date range, i want to filter by program \[01 42] so i could select the ambassador program in this column, and then the influencer program in this column and then down in the metrics section, i see the actual metrics that are being reported on \[01 54] so the metrics that are available for this comparison tool are the same as the metrics when i'm viewing the social post is a list page, but in, on this page, instead of them being columns, they are the rows \[02 06] and then for each of the groups that i'm bringing on, um, those groups become the columns so here i can see the total posts, the total number of stories, the total number of ambassadors that had either one post, at least one post or one story in this range \[02 22] and then the combined reach, the number of the comments, likes, shares, and the engagement rate so that is really helpful tool \[02 30] if i want to quickly compare, i could also change this to, um, the date range to this quarter and now i'm just simply comparing two programs against each other for the same date range \[02 42] if i want to filter further down, i have options to filter by social network, a each country, gender, and campaign \[02 51] campaign is actually a really nice feature, so let me remove the program feature i could simply filter by the ambassador welcome campaign in one, and then the, uh, influencer welcome campaign in the other \[03 05] that doesn't have any results i'm not sure if any of these are gonna have results either um, but if you wanted to it'd be able to compare how two different campaigns stack up next to each other \[03 16] they don't have to have been in the same time period, but you wanna make sure that whatever date range you specify is inclusive of the campaign's date range period \[03 24] and then it will just bring in posts and stories and all of the stats that were linked to posts and stories captured in the campaigns that you are filtering by \[03 35] so it's really, really useful useful this report also has the ability to do an export, and it's really helpful when you export this \[03 43] it doesn't give you, um, some of the options like the other reporting exports do it just will simply report export out all of the rows, um, based on the groups you have selected, and then at the end of the table that it exports, it will also indicate which filters were applied \[04 00] to those rows so you should be able to pull it out, and then essentially recreate, uh, the data that is in there, and then see what filters were applied in order to derive that data \[04 11] so this could be really useful when you wanted to pull this into a larger report for your executive team, or maybe you want to pull it into a bi tool \[04 19] it should have all the data you need in there if you have any questions about this social post comparison report \[04 24] shoot us
