referred orders report is an essential tool for brands using roster to track referrals and analyze the impact of ambassador driven sales this report presents detailed insights into referred orders, showing how they contribute to total order revenue and customer acquisition brands can filter, sort, and export the data to suit their specific analysis needs, making it a flexible resource for measuring the effectiveness of ambassador programs video walkthrough video transcript this is a transcript from the loom video walkthrough \[00 00] hey, this is jeff at roster in this video, we're going to take a look at the referred orders report this is a really valuable report if you are doing referrals commissions in roster with any of your programs \[00 15] so to get here, you're going to click on the reports tab in the left hand navigation and then select referred orders \[00 21] and by default, it's usually filtered by a particular date range like the current month or the last 30 days or whatever you had selected last time you were viewing this \[00 30] you can easily open up the date range and filter it down by any of the, um, pre selected dates that we have here or even a custom date range \[00 39] so when the page opens, you'll notice some totals across the top it's going to show you how much order revenue there was from your referred orders, in this case it looks like there were $17,000 in the month of january \[00 52] it'll show you how many of the referred orders came from referral links, how many came from discount codes and how many came from recurring orders if you have that feature enabled \[01 03] and then of those referred orders, it will tell you how many of them, uh, are, were resulted in new customers \[01 10] so it looks like, uh, of the 50 referrals, 30 of them have new customers in my example here and then the table itself shows each of the individual referred orders based on however you have the table sorted \[01 25] um, one nice feature about this is you can click on any row and it will open up the order details drawer \[01 32] and within that order details drawer, it's going to give you some really important information information about the order itself and, um, here you can see that this order came in on this specific date \[01 43] if you are a shopify brand, that will typically, the order number will be a hyperlink and if you click on that hyperlink, it will open up that order in your shopify admin so you can get right to that order, which is really helpful \[01 55] um, here we see that this order didn't come through a referral link, but rather it was you it was, uh, it was made with an ambassador's discount code \[02 05] and then if we come down to the attribution section, if this section is populated, which it always will be on the referred orders tab, it tells you what attribution type it was \[02 15] this would either be a referral or a personal order that will give you information about how that attribution, um, came about \[02 22] so in this case, it was like i mentioned above it was, um, joseph thomas's shareable discount code and then if there were any referred orders linked to this, um, to this referred order, referral rewards linked to the referred order, then you would see those listed here \[02 40] in this case, it looks like there was a commission, but it was rejected by somebody on my team so that's the orders drawer \[02 47] i want to call attention to the filters here you can filter if you're wanting to search for all referred orders from a specific ambassador, you can do that \[02 56] so if we wanted to search for all orders from stephanie wise, i could filter that down it looks like she has eight referrals \[03 05] i can further filter down by programs if i just want to see from referrals from my ambassador program date range, and if i click on more filters, i have a number of additional filters \[03 16] if i want to find just referrals that came in from, uhm, a referral link as opposed to discount codes, i could do that as well as recurring orders \[03 26] i could specify by the actual order number itself, which would be your order number from your e commerce store i can filter down by a particular discount \[03 36] code that was used, the ambassador's referral link id, and then any tags that you have associated to your ambassadors so if you have specific tags and you want to just pull that list, then you can do that \[03 49] uhm, lastly, you can sort the table based on some specific sort options and so if you want to sort by order revenue, the orders with the most \[04 00] highest revenue, you can do that and then i said, lastly, but i lied because there is the export option so if you need to export the orders for whatever reason, you can export the current page worth of orders \[04 14] you can export all records in your account, or you can export just the records based on the filter criteria that you have applied, and that will give you a csv file that you can open up in excel and google sheets or whatever analytics platform or bi tool you might be using \[04 33] so hopefully this helps this is a lot
