the sales attribution report in roster provides valuable insights into your ambassadors' links and referrals performance this report rolls up key metrics such as link clicks, new customer referrals, total referrals, referral revenue, and personal orders by ambassadors over a specified date range it serves as a powerful tool for brands to track ambassador engagement, measure the effectiveness of their campaigns, and explore potential incentives like bonuses for newly acquired customers video walkthrough video transcript this is a transcript from the loom video walkthrough \[00 00] hey, this is jeff at roster in this video, i want to walk you through how to utilize one of the most valuable and insightful reports in roster, the sales attribution report \[00 10] so let's jump right in to do, to get to the report, you're going to click on the left hand navigation on the reports tab, and then you'll select sales attribution, and that will bring up the sales attribution report, and it will typically have a date range already filtered \[00 24] if not, you can easily open up the date range filter and select from one of the presets in this case, umm, let's go ahead and just look at last month, but you can easily select a custom date range as well \[00 35] so what this report attempts to do is show a list of all of the ambassadors who had any of these following metrics during the reporting period \[00 44] they had a link click on one of their referral links, they go they got a referral with a new customer, they had a referral at all, and they had some sort of referral revenue, or they had a personal order, which is a purchase that they made either with their email address that's associated to their ambassador \[01 02] account or a purchase made by them or anybody was made with a reward code or a personal discount code that is assigned to the ambassador \[01 11] so if any of those, are true, then the ambassador will show up here and then roster will sum up all of those events or data at their level \[01 21] so in this case you can see here that lindsey had three link clicks last month, she had one referral resulting in one new customer and that referral had a revenue of $2,900 and she didn't have any personal orders \[01 36] we can jump down to stephanie, she had a lot more link clicks, 221 she had four customers, uh, eight referrals, so it looks like half of her referrals were new customers \[01 47] and here's her referred revenue and then she also had two personal orders totaling $567 so it's really useful to be able to see that information \[01 57] um, a lot of times brands will do extra extra things with this like, for example, they might offer bonuses for new customers \[02 05] so you can easily run this report for the reporting period, click export, and then run a calculation off everybody who has a new customer \[02 14] uh, there's a number of filters that you can run so if you have a large program and you're wanting to see a specific ambassador, you can just pull up the ambassador search \[02 23] and then you can search for the ambassador by their name or email address and then the results will filter down to just that person \[02 29] you can also filter this by your ambassador program or your influencer program or any of your other programs and see just the numbers for those programs \[02 38] um, date range i mentioned, and then there's the more filter store, which gives you access to attribution method so you can bring in just totals based on \[02 48] on whether they were personal orders or referred orders contact owner is a field used by some of the larger brands to assign ownership to contacts if you're doing that \[02 58] and then lastly tags so if you wanted to see people who were, um, had a specific tag that you guys have tagged your customers with \[03 08] and you can filter that list by those people as well there's a couple of other things that you you can do, you can choose how you want this data sorted in either ascending or descending order \[03 17] so you can click the sort drop down and then select another one so if you wanted to see who had the most link clicks \[03 24] you can easily do that and rank the list by link clicks and then lastly you can export this list so you can export just the current page you're looking at \[03 34] all of the records or you can just, no export the records that you have filtered down to and this would give you a csv file that you can use in excel, google sheets, or import it into any number of business intelligence tools or analytics tools to get further insights about your data \[03 54] okay, that's about it for the sales attribution report like i said, this is actually one of the core reports that brands reference \[04 00] on a regular basis, it's
