the personal orders report is a valuable feature for brands utilizing roster to manage their ambassador programs this report provides insights into the purchases made by ambassadors, reflecting their loyalty to the brand and the effectiveness of various incentive strategies like personal discounts, early access, and campaign rewards by analyzing this report, brands can assess how successful their programs are at encouraging repeat purchases among ambassadors and even decide on additional rewards for them the report offers a detailed breakdown of orders, highlighting whether they were made using reward codes or if they matched ambassador email addresses, providing a comprehensive view of ambassadors' purchase activity video walkthrough video transcript this is a transcript from the loom video walkthrough \[00 00] hey, this is jeff at roster in this video, we're going to take a look at the personal orders report this is a report you can get to by clicking reports in the left hand navigation and then selecting personal orders \[00 12] this is a valuable report for brands who want to understand the performance they're getting from their ambassadors in terms of making their own purchases \[00 21] so obviously you want to have ambassadors who are loyal to the brand and who are actually purchasing the product you're going to be most likely giving them rewards of some sort involving discount codes or free product \[00 34] and you want to see that they are actually buying from the brand some ambassador programs are actually awarded for loyalty points or loyalty rewards \[00 44] that's not a direct feature in roster yet, but a lot of brands will come to this page and do some additional rewards throughout the month or the end of the month based on purchases coming from here \[00 55] and in general, it's just a great way to understand how loyal your ambassadors are and how effective your program is at incentivizing and promoting those repeat purchase behaviors \[01 08] so when the report first loads, it's usually going to be filtered by a date range and that would either be the last date range that you filtered it by on a previous visit or that you filtered one of these other reports by or it will just revert to the current month \[01 23] so here you can see across the top, there's some summary totals for the page so it looks like for the month of january, there was $7,000 of personal order revenue \[01 34] so that's the revenue that came in from our ambassadors making purchases we have the number of orders that came in from reward codes and then the number of orders that came in where we matched up the customer email address from the order with an email address from an ambassador \[01 50] so if i look at this first record here, i can click on this, um, any of the rows, any of the orders, and i'll get the order details drawer to open up and inside the order details drawer there's a lot of metadata about the order itself \[02 03] if it's a, if you're a shopify brand, you can click on the order number itself and it will open it up into the shopify store to that specific order, which is really helpful \[02 12] and then, um, i can see here that this is actually kind of interesting and something you might see it looks like this ambassador clicked their own referral link, so the order does have a referral link id on it \[02 23] if you the which is an uncommon for somebody to click their own referral link, but because the customer order and their roster account are the same email address roster identified this as a personal order \[02 37] so the attribution type is personal um, typically brands will give out reward codes in the form of a personal just leave it this account at the program level or rewards for completing a campaign or milestone \[02 52] and so if they make a purchase or any, actually any customer uses somebody's reward code, then the attribution type would show up as reward \[03 00] and it would not be considered a referral would be considered a personal order okay, so i'm going to close that order store and just take a quick look at the filters right here \[03 12] so, um, this report, like the other ones, you can filter by specific ambassador so if you want to search for stephanie wise here, we'll pull her up and we can find all of her personal purchases in this date range \[03 26] i can also filter by just a particular program or set of programs and then i have the option of filtering by attribution method \[03 35] so if i want to just find orders that came in from reward codes or just for matching emails, i can do that \[03 40] i can specify the order number from the e commerce, uhh, store discount code, which discount code might have been used and then contact tags \[03 50] so if i, if i'm using tags in roster and i want to filter down by a set of ambassadors with a certain tag, i can do that \[03 57] um, i can sort the list based on some predefined columns and put that in a sending or descending order and then lastly, i can export this report data so i can export just this current page \[04 13] i can export all orders in my account or i can export just those that match the current filter criteria that i have \[04 20] and then when i click export, it will give me a csv file, which i can then open up up in microsoft excel, google sheets, i can open it up into just a notepad, since it's a csv file, or i can import it into maybe an analytics platform or a bi tool to get some further insights about my ambassador programs \[04 40] in roster if you have any
