publishing a campaign in the roster platform that begins at a future date is a strategic way to organize and manage ambassador engagements setting a future start date allows brands to plan and schedule campaigns ahead of time, ensuring that all elements are in place before ambassadors are notified and the campaign becomes active it's vital to remember that once a campaign is published, it's considered active, even if it's planned for future execution in this article, we'll explore how to publish a future dated campaign and what to keep in mind during this process video walkthrough video transcript this is a transcript from the loom video walkthrough \[00 00] hi everyone in this video, i'm going to show you what it looks like when you publish a campaign that starts in the future \[00 06] okay, so for this specific campaign, i'm making the publish date the 24th it's currently the 21st, and then i'm gonna have the start date be the 28th so i'm not gonna go through all the steps because we just walked through all of that, but if we go to step 5 and we publish the campaign, it's now gonna \[00 24] show up as planned it's super important to note that a planned campaign is still an active campaign so depending on how many campaigns you have for your subscription, you may not be able to launch a planned campaign if you already have a certain number of active campaigns \[00 40] it's also important to note that once a campaign is published, um, you cannot go back and unpublish it, but you can go back and edit certain things in the campaign \[00 49] if you ever publish a campaign and then you realize that you either don't want it to be published or you want to do something else, um, a workaround is you can end the campaign and then you can duplicate it \[01 00] but yeah, so that's what a published campaign, uh, in the future looks like your ambassadors should get an email on the day that it is published letting them know, hey, we have an upcoming campaign \[01 10] unless that's the day it starts, then that will be the case campaign invite, um, and from there they can either join the campaign or wait until the start date and then they can join the campaign \[01 19] okay hopefully this video was helpful if you have any questions, as always, you can reach out to support at get roster com or you can contact your csm \[01 28] thank you step by step instructions set the publish and start dates for your campaign navigate to the campaigns section in the roster dashboard select the campaign you wish to set for a future start date set the publish date to the desired date (e g , the 24th) set the start date for when the campaign will commence (e g , the 28th) publish the campaign go to step 5 in the campaign setup process click on publish campaign the campaign will now display as planned this status indicates that it is active but scheduled to begin on the start date you set important considerations for planned campaigns a planned campaign is counted as an active campaign ensure this fits within your subscription's limits for active campaigns once published, campaigns cannot be unpublished however, you can edit certain aspects of the campaign if you need to retract a published campaign, end the campaign and consider duplicating it for future use ambassador notification on the publish date, ambassadors receive an email notification regarding the upcoming campaign depending on the start date, ambassadors may either join immediately or wait until the campaign officially starts need help? if you need any additional assistance with with your roster account, feel free to contact our support team at support\@getroster com mailto\ support\@getroster com we're here to help!
