Creating a shoppable product reward enables ambassadors to redeem a set dollar value or a specific number of products from your Shopify store, directly from within Roster's ambassador portal. This type of reward is perfect for providing ambassadors with the flexibility to select items from a curated collection while maintaining brand control over available products and spending limits. Below is a guide on setting up a shoppable product reward in Roster.
Step-by-step instructions
Select the campaign or milestone that the reward will be added to
- Navigate to the Milestones or Campaigns section in the left-hand navigation menu.
- Select the milestone or campaign where you want to set up the reward.
- If there is an existing reward (e.g., a gift card), click Remove to delete it.
- Otherwise, click Add reward > Automated Product Reward.
Add a product collection to the reward
- Choose Add Product or Add Collection from the options presented in the automated product reward setup.
- Select the products or collection(s) from the list Roster pulls in from your Shopify store.
- Limit the reward by value or quantity:
- Example: Set a maximum dollar value of $100.
- Customize the reward title and description as it will appear in the Ambassador Portal.
- Click Create to finalize the reward.
Publish the milestone or campaign
- Complete any remaining setup for the milestone or campaign.
- Add ambassadors or influencer groups to the milestone or campaign.
- Click Publish to activate the campaign or milestone with the shoppable product reward.
Ambassador experience
- When ambassadors meet the criteria for the reward, they will see the reward in the Ambassador Portal.
- Ambassadors can select eligible products up to the specified limit (e.g., $100 value or a specific quantity).
- If an item is out of stock, ambassadors will be notified and can select other products.
- Ambassadors complete a simple checkout process directly within the portal:
- Enter shipping information.
- Confirm and submit the order.
- Roster automatically creates the order in Shopify, tagging it as a Roster Reward. The order will appear in Shopify with a $0 total (excluding any specified shipping costs).
Manage and fulfill shoppable rewards
- Navigate to the Rewards section in the left-hand navigation menu.
- Select the relevant reward to view a list of ambassadors who have redeemed it.
- Click on individual orders to review redemption details.
- For Shopify orders, click the order number to open it in your Shopify admin.
- Fulfill the order as you would with any other Shopify order.
