creating varied and attractive rewards is key to engaging ambassadors in your campaigns on roster rewards can significantly incentivize participants to join and complete campaign tasks in roster, brands have the flexibility to offer different types of rewards like points, discount codes, automated and manual product rewards, and custom rewards below, we'll walk you through the different campaign reward types available in the roster platform and guide you in setting them up video walkthrough video transcript this is a transcript from the loom video walkthrough \[00 00] hi everyone, this is caroline with roster, and in this video i'm going to walk you through the different campaign reward types \[00 07] so, the rewards can be found in step 2 of the campaign brief, right underneath the campaign requirements, and right above the style guide \[00 15] you're going to see this add reward button, and if you click it, it should drop down into your different options \[00 20] so, points reward, this is probably the most common, depending on the campaign if you click that, you'll notice that there's going to be this reward timing, upon joining, upon completing \[00 31] what this means is if we change it to upon joining, that means as soon as that ambassador clicks the join button, they will receive whatever the reward is, in this instance, it's points \[00 42] if we click the upon completing option, then they will receive those points upon completing the campaign, which just means completing those deliverables \[00 52] uh, we have some, uh, default point options here, so 100, 150, 200, 300, or you can do a custom number \[01 01] for campaigns, we always recommend doing higher point values, since we're usually asking more of the ambassadors, um, but you can always start with lower points, and then if you feel like you're not having successful campaigns, increase the points \[01 12] as you go so if we click save upon completing, and then we click the preview page, this is what it's going to look like to the ambassador \[01 21] so we'll see incentive for completing they get 100 points now, let's say that, um, maybe you want to offer a discount code reward \[01 29] uh, you're going to get that same thing so you can do a new code this is going to be a personal code for your ambassador \[01 36] to use if you have shopify, the discount rule will already be built in here if you do not, you'll have to manually import the codes, which again, we have a whole help article kind of walk you through how to do that, but you can still do the upon joining upon completing um, you can give them a certain \[01 51] discount you can add a little message and you can also make it for certain products so let's say you're doing more of like a product seeding, or maybe we have a product launch \[02 00] discount codes can be great, a great way to incentivize so maybe we have a new product and we want to give our ambassadors 40% off upon joining \[02 09] you can make it for that selected product um, i currently only have snowboards in my store, so we'll give them 40% off of this snowboard \[02 16] cause this is the new product we're launching you can limit the amount of times they can use it and you can also give it an end date \[02 22] i definitely recommend giving it an end date especially if it's like a limited edition or it's a product launch and i would say just have it end on the day that the campaign is meant to be over \[02 31] so for this campaign we picked the 31st, um, and you can do, uh, you know, 12, um, or i i guess we could do like 11 59 pm \[02 45] okay, perfect so then if we click save now it's going to say upon joining they receive this 40% off discount, um, which they can use to purchase that specific product and they'll see incentive for joining \[02 59] we do also offer either an automated product reward or a manual product reward automated product rewards you can only utilize if you have shopify integrated into your roster account \[03 10] you can add products you can add specific collections so if we add products, we can do snowboards, um, you can select all the ones you want, and then you can also set limits on these \[03 22] so we can include all the products below we can limit by the number of products, or you can actually limit by total value \[03 27] so you can say you can have, you know, $885 or whatever the total is towards purchasing one of these products \[03 34] you can also name the product before you group and give it a description so i'm just going to say snowboards \[03 40] perfect we'll click save and then the reward details so you can change it from product reward to, uh, redeem your snow, oh, snowboard \[03 51] you can change the description as well you can give it a different image it usually just pulls whatever you have in your shopify account \[03 59] and then you can also change you want it to be upon joining or upon completing so if you're doing a product seeding campaign, you'd probably do it upon joining \[04 07] if you're doing product fulfillment, you would do it upon completing so if we click save, then we can see we have the reward deals up details updated \[04 15] our we've picked our rewards and then you can also include free shipping or you can do a custom rate super important to note that this rate will not change \[04 24] whatever you set is whatever everyone will have to pay um, so you cannot change it based on where they're located in the country \[04 32] lastly, you can also add multiple rewards so let's say, for example, you wanted to include snowboards in this one, and then maybe we wanted to include like t shirts in a separate one \[04 41] so we're saying you get a snowboard and then you also get a t shirt that's what this additional product group is for \[04 48] okay and then when we're done, we just click the done and now we have our product reward manual product reward is going to be similar, but it's going to be on your end to fulfill it \[04 59] um, so with the automated product reward, it basically would treat it like a shopping cart and ambassadors will check out after they complete or join the campaign \[05 08] it will have them enter their shipping information and then on your side, it will be tagged as a roster reward \[05 14] manual product reward, you can do the same thing with reward timing you just have to give it a name so we can say, we'll just go with the snowboard theme \[05 22] snowboard, we'll say upon completing, you can do a url or a link to the product you can give it a value \[05 28] you can include images, and then you can also give a description i recommend giving a description, just letting them know, like, we will shortly get this shipped out to you, or we will send contact you with details, or if you want them to fill out some sort of, like, google form or something, um, in \[05 42] order to do the product fulfillment lastly, we have custom reward this can be anything you want so our example is, like, coffee with ceo \[05 51] maybe it's a landing page maybe it's something else again, you have that reward timing, but it's very similar to, like, the manual reward \[05 58] it just gives you a little bit more autonomy because it's not a specific reward um, okay and then one thing to note is when you launch, uh, the campaign, you can go in and edit existing rewards \[06 11] you cannot delete them, especially if an ambassador has already redeemed it um, you won't be able to remove it from the campaign, but you can go in and edit them \[06 19] so if we launch this, um, and let's say maybe one of the products is out of stock we could go \[06 25] um, yeah so hopefully that was helpful if you have any questions, you can reach out to add reward button located below the campaign requirements and above the style guide set up a points reward click add reward > points reward choose the reward timing upon joining ambassadors receive points when they join the campaign upon completing points are awarded after completing campaign deliverables select a points value from the default options or enter a custom number click save configure a discount code reward click add reward > discount code reward decide on reward timing upon joining or upon completing set up how the code will be used use an existing discount rule if integrated with shopify manually import codes if not using shopify specify the discount percentage and add a message if needed select targeted products and set usage limits and an end date for the code click save to finalize create an automated product reward ensure shopify is integrated with your roster account click add reward > automated product reward add products or collections, such as snowboards, from your store set limits on the quantity or total value of products that can be redeemed customize the reward title and description, and select an image if required choose upon joining or upon completing for reward timing optionally include free shipping or set a custom shipping rate click save set up a manual product reward click add reward > manual product reward enter a reward name, such as "snowboard" define reward timing upon joining or upon completing optionally specify a url or link to the product, value, image, and detailed description include instructions for the ambassadors on how to receive the reward click save design a custom reward click add reward > custom reward input a reward name, like "coffee with ceo" set the reward timing upon joining or upon completing add relevant details, links, images, or descriptions to explain the reward click save review and manage campaign rewards review the list of rewards added for the campaign note that once a
