connecting your shopify store to your roster account streamlines the setup experience by integrating powerful features like discount code management, order tracking, and link click tracking directly into roster this seamless integration simplifies managing your brand ambassador program as all relevant shopify data becomes accessible within roster video walkthrough video transcript this is a transcript from the loom video walkthrough \[00 00] hey, this is jeff at roster in this video, i'm going to show you how you can quickly and easily connect your shopify store to your roster account \[00 09] this obviously has many benefits if you are a shopify brand roster has a lot of integrations with discount codes and order tracking and link click tracking, so it just makes it for a really streamlined experience in getting your roster account set up \[00 23] okay, so to get started, we're going to click on your logo in the bottom left hand navigation and then in the flyout menu, you're going to select integrations \[00 31] and then when the integrations modal opens up, select shopify integration in the left navigation and here you can see that i don't yet have a shopify store connected to my roster account \[00 45] so i'm going to click the connect button, and when this pop up shows up, i just need to type in my brand's subdomain on shopify \[00 52] okay and then i'm going to click connect if i haven't already authorized this app, then i'm going to be redirected over to shopify admin \[01 05] so you will need to be an admin user in order to do this well, you you have to have a shopify account \[01 12] i permission that allows you to grant access to apps um, but it is best if somebody on your team who is a like full admin does this so that roster gets all the permissions it needs this is going to open up a page in, like i said, in your shopify admin where it's prompting you to install the app \[01 29] it'll show all the information that roster is requesting simply click the install button and the app will be installed and you will be redirected back to roster and you will see your brand subdomain right here on the page \[01 44] and you'll see two buttons now, one that says configure and one that says disconnect if you click configure, it will simply just go back through that install process one more time and it will allow roster to make sure you have all of the required permissions that we need for your store periodically \[02 00] a new feature will be updated that needs a new shopify, uh, permission and so by clicking configure and going through that, we'll have the proper configurations \[02 10] you can click disconnect and it will disconnect your, your store in roster the app will still exist in your shopify store, so you would want to make sure you remove it in both places if you are reusing it \[02 24] just know that as soon as you click disconnect in roster or in shopify, any of the features that require that integration, like managing discount codes for ambassadors or tracking link clicks and referrals will stop working \[02 39] so that's pretty much it it's a really straightforward process if you have any questions about connecting your shopify store or need any help, definitely let us know \[02 48] okay, thanks thanks step by step instructions access the shopify integration in roster log in to your roster account click on your logo in the bottom left hand navigation in the flyout menu, select integrations in the integrations modal, select shopify from the left navigation connect your shopify store click the connect button to begin the connection process enter your shopify brand's subdomain in the pop up window click connect if you are redirect to shopify admin for authorization review the permissions requested by roster click the install button to install the app once installed, you will be redirected back to roster where your brand's shopify subdomain will be displayed the person connecting shopify in roster must be a full admin in shopify to ensure the all the required permissions are granted to the roster app configure or disconnect the integration after installation, two buttons will appear configure click to re install the app if any new shopify permissions are needed disconnect click to disconnect your store from roster note disconnecting disables features like discount code management and tracking if disconnecting, remove the app from both roster and shopify to fully terminate the integration need help? if you need any additional assistance with with your roster account, feel free to contact our support team at mailto\ support\@getroster com we're here to help!
