Understanding the metrics in the social feed section of Roster's Brand Portal will help brands efficiently measure engagement and performance of their ambassador-led campaigns. Each social feed card surfaces engagement metrics — including Earned Media Value (EMV), likes, comments, and views — so brands can identify which posts have the highest engagement, most followers, and dollar value, and track overall performance over specified date ranges. Below is a guide to help you navigate and fully utilize the social feed metrics.

### Understand the metrics available

1. Review the metrics shown on each post card, such as `EMV`, `Likes`, `Comments`, and `Date`.
2. For video posts, additional metrics such as `Plays` (views) will also be displayed.
3. `Reach` and `Impressions` are shown when the social network provides them, or estimated based on post type and follower size when they don't.

### Understand Earned Media Value (EMV)

1. Each post card displays an `EMV` figure — the estimated dollar value of the exposure and engagement the post generated, based on what it would have cost to achieve the same results through paid media.
2. Hover over the EMV number in the bottom-right of a post card to see a breakdown of how it was calculated (impressions value plus engagement value for likes, comments, shares, and saves).
3. Roster ships with industry-standard CPM and engagement rates, but you can tailor them to your brand. [See Configure EMV rates.](https://docs.getroster.com/configure-emv-rates)
4. For a full explanation of how EMV is calculated and why it matters, see [Earned media value overview.](https://docs.getroster.com/earned-media-value-overview)

### Filter the social feed metrics

1. Use filters to narrow down results based on specific criteria:
 - Filter by `Most engagements` to display the posts with the highest number of likes and comments.
 - Filter by `Most followers` to view the post from ambassadors with the largest audience.
 - Filter by `Most recent` to see the latest posts first.
2. Additional filters include selecting by `Program` or `Network`.
3. Specify a `Start` and `End date` to view metrics within a particular timeframe.
