The Discount Code tab within Program Settings allows you to assign personalized discount codes to your ambassadors. These codes can be configured to offer specific perks, such as unlimited use or a limited number of uses, and can be tied to products, collections, or your overall store. This guide explains how to manage discount codes for your programs.

### Access the Discount Code tab

1. Navigate to the `Programs` tab on the left-hand menu.
2. Select the program you want to adjust and click `Settings`.
3. Open the `Discounts` tab within the program settings.

### Configure personal discount codes

1. In the **Personal Discount Code** area, choose one of the following options:
   - Select an existing discount rule already set up in Roster.
   - Create a new discount rule by clicking `Create New`.
2. Follow the structure for setting up a discount code:
   - Choose a percentage-based or fixed-amount discount.
   - Add a description for ambassadors to clarify the discount purpose or rules.
   - Limit the discount to specific products or collections, if desired.
   - Set usage limits (e.g., unlimited use, or a fixed number of uses such as five).
   - Add an optional end date for the discount’s validity.
3. Click `Save` to apply the discount rule to the program.

### Distribute discount codes to ambassadors

1. When ambassadors are added to the program, they will automatically receive their assigned discount codes based on the configured rule.
2. For non-Shopify brands:
   - Manually upload discount codes into the discount rule.
   - Follow the steps in the [Manual Discount Code Help Article](#) for detailed instructions.
