Exporting discount codes from your Roster account is a straightforward process that allows brands to back up codes, generate reports, or prepare data for re-import into an external system. This guide will walk you through the steps to export discount codes and explain how to make them compatible for re-import if needed.

## Step-by-step instructions

### Access the discounts page

1. Navigate to `More` in the left-hand navigation menu.
2. Click on `Discounts` to view your available discount rules.
3. Select the discount rule containing the codes you want to export.
   - The number of assigned codes will be displayed alongside each rule.

### Export discount codes

1. Click on the `More Actions` > `Export` from the dropdown menu.
2. Choose the `Discount Codes` radio button to export all assigned codes.
3. Click `Export` to download the file.
   - The file will be saved locally with a name such as `roster_discount_codes_export.csv`.
