Automated product rewards streamline the process of incentivizing ambassadors by automatically generating product orders in your Shopify store when specific criteria are met. These rewards can be set up for campaigns or milestones, allowing ambassadors to select eligible products directly within the Ambassador Portal. This approach eliminates manual intervention, saving time for brands and providing ambassadors with a seamless, self-service experience.

For brands, automated product rewards ensure efficient fulfillment and accurate tracking of ambassador rewards, while ambassadors enjoy the ability to choose from curated products, customize their preferences, and track orders in real time. This feature is perfect for campaigns like product promotions or milestone unlocks where offering tangible rewards can boost engagement and brand loyalty.

## Step-by-step instructions

### Set up an automated product reward

1. Navigate to `Campaigns` or `Milestones` in the left-hand navigation menu.
2. Select the campaign or milestone where you want to add the reward.
3. Click on the `Rewards` section within the campaign or milestone wizard.
4. From the dropdown menu, select `Automated Product Reward`.
   - If this option is not available, ensure your Roster account is connected to an active Shopify store.

### Configure the product reward

1. Choose whether to add individual products or collections for the reward:
   - **Add Products**: Manually select specific products.
   - **Add Collections**: Include entire product collections for ambassadors to choose from.
2. Define selection limits for ambassadors:
   - Example: Limit ambassadors to selecting one product from the group.
3. Customize the reward title and description as they will appear in the Ambassador Portal.
4. Upload images or use default product images to enhance the reward’s visual appeal.
5. Click `Create` to save the reward setup.

### Publish the campaign or milestone

1. Complete any remaining setup for the campaign or milestone.
2. Add ambassadors or influencer groups to the campaign or milestone.
3. Click `Publish` to activate the campaign or milestone with the automated product reward.

### Ambassador experience

1. Ambassadors can log in to the Ambassador Portal and view the campaign or milestone details.
2. Once requirements are met, the reward will become available for redemption.
3. Ambassadors select their preferred product(s) and complete a checkout flow within the portal:
   - Shipping information is entered.
   - A confirmation page shows the reward details.
4. Roster sends the product order to your Shopify store, creating an order that is ready to be fulfilled by your team.

### Track and manage rewards

1. Navigate to `More` > `Rewards` in the left-hand navigation.
2. Select the reward to view a list of ambassadors who have redeemed it.
3. For Shopify-linked rewards that have been redeemed:
   - Click on the order number to open the order in your Shopify admin.
   - Review order details and fulfillment status.
